Reality Canty wins mentoring award

Reality Canty, a graduate research assistant at LSRI, has won the UIC Undergraduate Mentoring Award for Graduate Students.

The award honors outstanding, creative and hardworking undergraduate mentors across the university's campus. Canty's work, Graduate College administrators wrote, was "exemplary." He was one of six award recipients.

Canty works for LSRI's DR-K12 Curriculum Embedded Assessment Project, and as part of that, supervises undergraduate students who assist with some of the research. This year, several of his students were selected to present their work at this spring's 2013 annual meeting of the Midwestern Psychological Association. They also won the 2013 UIC Psychology Department MPA Undergraduate Research Award and presented their work at UIC's Research Forum.

Congratulations for a job well done!
