The PhD program in Learning Sciences actively recruits potential graduate students. One of our main strategies in doing so is being available face-to-face across geographical locations where students may be a great fit for the Learning Sciences but may not know enough about it. We believe such personal contact is crucial to helping students make the right choice. This Fall, Graduate Coordinator Jessica Chalmers will be attending four events, networking with potential students. And, it pays off! Last year, at a recruitment event in San Diego, Jessica met current graduate student Timmy Chan, the recipient of a University Fellowship!
