LSRI Co-director James Pellegrino said that he and fellow crafters of new criteria for high-quality assessment that aligns with impending Common Core curricula envision a “suite” of assessments, not just one summative test. EdWeek quotes him in their coverage of the annual convention of the Council of Chief State School Officers.
Pellegrino is part of a group of influential researchers who are urging districts across the nation to hold out for such tests amid the political and financial pressures they face as they begin to adopt and implement Common Core curricula.
