Why Learning Sciences?

I’m fascinated by how people learn, and when I was a classroom teacher, I felt as though I had way more questions that I wanted to explore than I had answers. The interdisciplinary nature of Learning Sciences is also key for me. I LOVE learning anything, so why not study how it actually happens and how to improve it for others?

Why LSRI at UIC?

The teachers here are leaders in their fields and are absolutely brilliant. The are also very caring and work hard to help us succeed. I chose LSRI at UIC because it’s located within a huge urban city and shares my values of service and community.

I am now officially a PhD Candidate as of 8/23.

2023 - present. Loyola University Chicago, School of Education, Chicago, IL
Adjunct Professor/Arts Residency Internship Coach: professor and internship supervisor for MEd in Elementary Education with Theater Concentration students enrolled in the Chicago Public School Teacher Residency Program
