Professor Emeritus Dr. James Pellegrino is one of the founding co-directors of Learning Sciences Research Institute, Liberal Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professor, and Distinguished Professor of Education. His research and development interests focus on children’s and adult’s thinking and learning and the implications of cognitive research and theory for assessment and instructional practice.

Profile

Professor Emeritus Susan Goldman is one of the founding co-directors of UIC’s Learning Sciences Research Institute, and a distinguished professor of psychology and education in UIC’s College of Liberal arts and Sciences. She conducts research on subject matter learning, instruction, assessment, and on roles for technology, especially in literacy and mathematics.
