Evaluation Resources

ABCD Institute. The Asset-Based Community Development Institute at DePaul (Chicago) created the well-known ABCD methodology for asset mapping. Their website has tons of resources for creating an asset map in your own community.

American Evaluation Association. Your one-stop-shop for tons of evaluation resources, evaluator directory, and more. We especially like the AEA365 tip of the day.

CAISE Informal Science. Originally a repository of evaluation reports, now a rich database of research, practice, evaluation, and community for people working in STEM education in places other than schools.

Chicagoland Evaluation Association. The local chapter of AEA hosts fun and interesting events for evaluator professional development and networking.

Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation. If you are thinking about hiring an evaluator or creating an evaluation plan, the JCSEE Program Evaluation Standards are a good guideline for talking about evaluations or reviewing a plan.

MAPSCorp. MAPSCorp takes a geographical approach to asset mapping, where assets are the physical locations of businesses and organizations. One of their products is an incredibly detailed neighborhood asset map of Chicago.

UIC SRL Survey Research Bulletin. Published by UIC's Survey Research Lab, this weekly update contains practical and literature-based knowledge about all things to do with surveys.

W.K. Kellogg Foundation Logic Model Development Guide. We believe that every great evaluation plan - and the most effective programs and proposals - begins with a logic model. Kellogg's website includes a definitive guide to developing one. If you would like some assistance with your logic model, we provide free consultations.
